About the application

Welcome to 4th Friday! What is the 4th Friday event?
On the 4th Friday of every month, March - October, The District features the best of Fayetteville visual and performing arts, live music, and street performers. Folks of all ages get a taste of Downtown Fayetteville's dynamic arts and entertainment district while supporting local independent galleries, bistros, and shops full of unique goods and gifts.
 
From July through October, we turn up the heat with The District Vibe @ 4th Friday. A live performance stage and beer garden invites visitors to make the most of the glorious North Carolina weather and dance the night away!
 
APPLICATION DETAILS:
 
Application Deadline: Application is due on the 10th of the month. Applications completed after the 10th will be considered for the following 4th Friday. 
 
Acceptance/Non-Acceptance: Applications will be notified on the status of their application by the 15th of the month. If you have any questions, please send an email to the Cool Spring Downtown District, info@coolspringfay.org. The Cool Spring Downtown District has the right to refuse entry to any vendor for the 4th Friday event. 
 
FOOD TRUCKS/DRINK TRUNKS/FOOD CARTS 
To highlight the creative culinary arts in our community, there are limited opportunities for Local Food Trucks or Carts to participate in this program. To be eligible, Local Food Cart or Truck vendors must have all current applicable licenses and insurance as a commercial food vendor and comply with all regulations by the Cumberland County Health Department. Only the items described in this application will be allowed in the booth. All vendors must have an NC Department of Revenue Sales and Use Tax ID Number
 
EVENT DETAILS: 
 
Set Up:  Set up begins from 5pm-6pm on the event day. There will be a cone placed at your location with your business name on it.  You do not need to check-in at the Cool Spring Downtown District Staff before the event. If you are lost or unsure about your location, please contact the Cool Spring Downtown District Staff.
 
Break Down: The break down for 4th Friday is from 10pm - 10:30pm that night. We ask that you do not break down before 10pm.Breaking down of booths early is not allowed. (Breaking down early will disqualify you from future events.) 
 
Booth Space: Vendors will provide a 10x10 space for your setup (Anchors may NOT be driven into the street. Adequate weights are mandatory to secure tents and must be within your booth space.). Tents can’t exceed over 10x10 feet If your structure is not self-contained, All vendor set-ups must be professional in appearance. you must construct a well-decorated booth, erect a personally owned tent, or rent a tent. No booth space sharing allowed between multiple vendors. Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting their own taxes. Booths may not be moved without permission from the Festival Committee. Vendors cannot sublet, assign, donate or trade your space. 
 
Amplified Sound Electricity: We will not provide electricity. You are required to use your own amplification system for your space. 
 
Parking: We now have paid parking for Downtown Fayetteville. We suggest that you park in the Franklin Street parking deck (208 Franklin Street) so you will not have to worry about moving your car. 
 On-street parking will not be available in all areas due to the Road Closures. On-Street Parking will be limited but the closest parking spots to your location are:
  • Franklin Street: 100-300 Hay Street, Gillespie Street Locations
  • Old Street: 100-300 Hay Street locations and Person St
  • Bow St: 100 Hay St, Person Street, Green Street Locations 
  • Maiden Lane: All locations
  • Franklin Street Parking Deck: All Locations

Terms & Conditions

Cool Spring Downtown District, its volunteers, the City of Fayetteville, or its representatives and/or employees are not responsible for any damages arising out of the sales of my products or from my presence during 4th Friday. I agree to sell only those items approved by the Cool Spring Downtown District as noted. 
 
Vendor Age Requirements: Children under the age of 18 participating in the 4th Friday should be supervised by an adult onsite at all times.
 
 
Attendance: If you miss more than 2, 4th Friday events without notice, you will no longer be able to participate in our 4th Friday events.  If you cannot make the 4th Friday event, please let me know as soon as possible. 
 
Inclement Weather: 4th Friday is a rain or shine event. If the event is not canceled by Cool Spring Downtown District, an absence will be counted against you Every effort will be made by the Cool Spring Downtown District staff to host the 4th Friday event. The Cool Spring Downtown District staff will closely monitor weather conditions before and during events.
 
Amplified Sound Electricity: We will not provide electricity. You are required to use your own amplification system for your space. 
 
Assigned Locations: Cool Spring Downtown District (CSDD) may, from time to time, be required to reassign locations.  CSDD does not provide tables or other equipment and does not guarantee access to a power source.  Please contact the CSDD office in writing (info@coolspringfay.org) if you have any special requirements.  Setup should be completed between 5:00p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with teardown completed by 9:30 p.m. 
Your 4th Friday location/space must not impede the flow of pedestrian traffic, may be used only for entertainment or information/awareness, and that sales, solicitations, or any other financial transactions require additional permitting by Cool Spring Downtown District.  I also understand that approaching passersby outside my designated space (e.g. – walking around and handing out flyers) is prohibited, and that no materials or activity promoting “adult” entertainment, or religious or partisan political advocacy or groups are allowed. 
 
PRODUCTS / SERVICES
The vendor is required to submit product photos and/or services with this application. List must be attached as a .doc, .jpeg, or .pdf files. The Cool Spring Downtown District reserves the right to deny vendors, the sale of certain products and/or merchandise. Applications must include a photograph clearly showing the entire booth setup or photos of products.
