About the event

Prairie Fest is a four-day festival held in Wood Dale, Illinois. The fest began in 2001 as a one-day picnic to encourage community involvement and togetherness. The celebration has grown into a four-day festival with food, live music, a carnival, and a fireworks display. Where is Prairie Fest? Prairie Fest will be next to Wood Dale Junior High (655 N. Terms & Conditions

Below are some helpful details about Prairie Fest. 
 
We hope to bring unique and exciting vendors to Prairie Fest. Your crafts and goods will be highlighted on social media. We like to support small businesses!
 
General notes about vendor space:
Vendors must use power from their booth space only.
Food vendors must use the tents provided by the City approved tent company. 
Absolutely no booths may be subleased to another vendor.
Smoking shall not be permitted in tents, canopies or membrane structures.
Vendors must stay within their space. There will be no soliciting on or around the festival grounds.
Vendors must provide their own flooring to go over grass (rubberized mats, wood, etc.)
 
Is security provided?
All booths must be appropriately staffed and cannot be left unattended at any time during operating hours. Overnight security will be provided during the Fest. However, please be advised that any and all items left in the booth will be at your own risk. Wood Dale Prairie Fest assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage to these items. Upon notification of Fest closure by a uniformed officer, all vendors will be shut down immediately; there are absolutely no exceptions.
 
Can I park my vehicle behind my booth?
Non-food vendors will be provided one parking pass for exclusive event parking. 
 
What are Resident Appreciation Night and Volunteer/Staff Food Vouchers?
Resident Appreciation Night - Thursday, June 27. This does not affect non-food vendors too much, but it does increase the crowd at Prairie Fest and is good to be familiar with.

Wood Dale residents are eligible for a $7.00 food voucher on Thursday, June 27.  Residents can “spend” the food voucher like cash (but are not to receive any cashback value). Prairie Fest Staff/Volunteers will receive a $7.00 food voucher for each shift they work/volunteer during Prairie Fest.  Volunteers/Staff can “spend” the food voucher like cash (but are not to receive any cashback value). Vouchers will be collected on the final day of Prairie Fest. A check will be issued to food vendors for the voucher amount and mailed out after the festival.
 
Can I accept credit cards?
Yes, but you must provide the credit card interface/terminal. 

Can I sell alcoholic beverages?
The sale of alcoholic beverages by food vendors is prohibited and this policy will be strictly enforced unless prior permission is granted by the City of Wood Dale.

What if I need to withdraw my application?
You may withdraw your application and receive a refund of your deposit by Friday, May 24, 2024.   After that date, no refunds will be granted.

Prices

Deposit $400 We require a $400 Deposit, which will be returned if the vendor is not selected. The deposit is part of the total vendor fee cost.
Non-Food Vendor (10*10 Booth) $300 Non-refundable What’s included in the Booth Vendor fee? • Tent (10’x10’) • Table & 2 Chairs (per 10’x10’ space) • Garbage Removal • Tent Set-up/Tear Down • Electricity • Lighting • Once the vendor is approved, the deposit will be applied to the total vendor cost
Non-Food Vendor (20*20) $650 Non-refundable Returning Vendor Rate applies to those who participated last year. What’s included in the Booth Vendor fee? • Tent (20x20’) • Front Counter (the tent has an open back) • Table & 2 Chairs (per 10’x10’ space) • Water (vendors must provide their own food-grade hose) • Garbage Removal • Tent Set-up/Tear Down • Electricity • Lighting Once the vendor is approved, the deposit will be applied to the total vendor fee.
