TIME & ROUTE
- The staging and lineup will be at the Floyd Middle School parking lot.
- The parade will proceed from the Floyd Middle School parking lot via bus entrance, heading south on Floyd to Maran Lane and ending at the Mable House Complex.
- Check-in will begin at 7:30 am - If your vehicle is not in the parade, you must park in the designated parking spots and walk to the parade lineup.
- All parade entries and participants must be in line at their designated position by 8:40 am. The parade steps off promptly at 9:00 am.
- Only vehicles, groups, and individuals listed on the registration application are permitted in the parade. No last-minute entries. No exceptions!
- To ensure excellence in presentation and efficiency in coordination, placement within the parade lineup is at the discretion of the Taste of Mableton Parade Coordinators.
- Lineup instructions will be provided a week before the parade, including position number and parking details.
- DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS March 24th.
PARADE PARTICIPATION RULES
- MAINTAIN FORWARD MOVEMENT AT ALL TIMES: Please keep up with the parade pace and do not allow significant gaps to appear between you and the group in front of you. Remember, there are units behind you that will be affected by slowing or stopping.
- VEHICLE OPERATORS: Any person operating a motor vehicle in the parade shall possess a driver’s license. All participants in the procession shall follow all applicable motor vehicle laws and/or regulations.
- No participant in a procession shall operate any vehicle in a careless manner to endanger the safety and welfare of other procession participants or spectators.
- NO POLITICAL CAMPAIGNING: distributing campaign flyers, paraphernalia, or any political campaign-related materials is strictly prohibited.
- INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR: Individuals exhibiting inappropriate behavior will be asked to leave the parade.
- NO ALCOHOL: Both the Taste of Mableton festival and the parade maintain a prohibition on the selling, distribution, or consumption of alcohol on the premises of the event or during the parade. Participants showing evident signs of drunkenness will have their participation revoked.
- NO FOUL, OFFENSIVE, or DIVISIVE LANGUAGE. The Taste of Mableton and all associated activities are family-friendly. Therefore, we ask that no foul, offensive, or divisive language or signals be utilized throughout the festival or parade, whether spoken or on clothing and signs.
- GIVE-A-WAYS: For the safety of our viewers and particularly our children, distribution of any item FROM the moving vehicle is prohibited. Please do not distribute any item that bounces or could create a safety hazard for drivers, participants, or guests.
