THEMATA Pop-Ups are creative, modern marketplaces that help independent designers, artists and emerging brands sell their products while encouraging people to shop local and support their community. It’s the perfect opportunity for shoppers to find unique and undiscovered gifts and support independent local artists and brands. These unique shopping experiences include a carefully curated selection of small businesses selling home decor, clothing, art, leather goods, jewelry, apothecary, kids items, stationary, and lots more.

About the registration

Welcome to THEMATA! Browse through our applications and let us know if you have any questions. This is an electronic agreement and by selecting the booths, you are validating and approving this agreement electronically. 
 
EVENT DATES: Please only select dates you can 100% commit to. We will NOT be able to refund your booth fee if you are unable to commit to a selected date. Artisans will only be accepted into a maximum of TWO dates.
 
Categories: Artists may apply in up to 2 categories. You must submit a separate application for each category. If you sell jewelry, you may apply in a category other than Jewelry if jewelry is less than 10% of your items for sale. Otherwise, you must apply in Jewelry. All work displayed in the booth must be for sale.
 
  • Clay: Original clay and porcelain work, functional or sculptural.
  • Fiber: Includes wearable and non-wearable. 
  • Glass: Functional and sculptural work is accepted. Kiln forming, blowing, molding, or casting, as well as all cold working processes are permitted.
  • Jewelry: Only those artists accepted in the jewelry category may display or sell jewelry. 
  • Metal: Sculptural or decorative work made from metal. No jewelry will be accepted in this category. Mixed Media: Work which combines materials from two or more mediums in one piece.
  • Musical Instruments: Handmade instruments.
  • Natural Materials: This includes basket weaving, chair caning, brooms, gourds, and other works made from materials found in nature.
  • Photography: Includes traditional film photography, hand-colored images, emulsion transfers, and digital photography. 
  • Printmaking: Only hand-pulled original prints are allowed. Prints must be in limited editions, signed, and numbered.
  • Sculpture: Three-dimensional work using additive or subtractive processes in a single medium. Two-Dimensional: Drawing, painting, and digital works. Reproduction prints are allowed.
  • Wood: Original works that are hand tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved.
  • Apothecary: Includes handmade soaps, candles, lotions, bath and personal care items.

With submission of my fee (after being notified of your approval) I agree to the following terms & conditions:
APPLICATION FEE
The non-refundable jury application fee is $20 and non-refundable $85 booth fee that is automatically deducted upon your acceptance. 
VENDOR RESPONSIBILITY
* Applicant hereby agrees to assume all risks and responsibilities for accidents, injuries or damages to person or property and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Culver Rd Armory, Whitney Baird Associates LLC., and their directors, board members, volunteers, show sponsors, and THEMATA, Shop Peppermint LLC and the Culver Rd Armory, against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, theft, damage, costs, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from or in connection with Applicant’s participation in the show or from Applicant's activities conducted upon the festival property. 

* Applicant is charged with knowledge of all laws, ordinances and regulations pertaining to health, fire prevention and public safety while participating in the show.

* The event is held rain or shine but may be cancelled due to ongoing public health and safety concerns.

* Any changes should be discussed with the Event Coordinator prior to the festival for approval.

* Any Applicant not in compliance with the above policies understands they may be asked to leave and may not be invited back to future events.

* Only approved, handcrafted items (made by the seller) may be sold at THEMATA.  

* Participant's booths must remain standing and occupied for the entirely of the festival (until 4pm).

PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY
Photographs/videos are occasionally taken of participants of activities and events and of visitors to the festival. These photographs/videos are used to promote THEMATA in future printed materials and a variety of other publications, including social media.

Prices

Application fees $20 Non-refundable There is a $20 non-refundable application fee which is charged upon application.
10x10 Booth $85 Non-refundable Single booth space is 10 feet wide and 10 feet deep.
