About the application

The Piedmont Physic Garden (PPG) has secured scholarship funds for painters and photographers who participate in the Environmental Art and Music Festival on Saturday, April 20, 2024, in Union, SC.

This is a unique opportunity to display and/or sell your work, gain visibility and be part of an awesome community event.

We're able to make this special offer to artists whose applications are accepted.

We will waive application and booth rental fees for all scholarship recipients.

Once accepted, each scholarship recipient will receive a free 10 by 10 booth space to display your work during the full time period of the festival which runs from 10 AM to 4 PM.  You will display your artwork in your booth space.  In addition, you may sell your artwork from your booth.

You will need to provide your own tent for your booth space, for displaying your artwork only, or for both display and sale of your artwork.

Each scholarship recipient will also have the option to participate in our Festival Exhibit, which is open to all painters and photographers.

The Festival Exhibit will award cash prizes and ribbons for first, second and third place winners as well as a People’s Choice award.

If you elect to participate, in the Festival Exhibit, you may enter one or two pieces, and those must be prominently displayed with your artwork in your booth space. No other arrangements will be made.

Art is at the center of the festival. In addition to painters and photographers, you can also expect vendor artisans whose products are either made of sustainable materials - wood, flowers, natural vegetation, rocks, etc. - or reflect that theme. We love woodworking, jewelry, basketry, art, weaving, glasswork, pottery, clothing and more.

The festival will be held on the grounds of Piedmont Physic Garden in the heart of downtown Union. Parking is free and the event includes a children's area, live music, an art exhibit and food trucks.
