For 30 years, the Great Blue Heron Music Festival has been a joyous celebration filled with music and dance, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Join us for three days and nights of fun with free-spirited, friendly people who come together each year as a community united by music.

About the application

Calling all Food Vendors!! Come and join us for a weekend of great music and a wonderful celebration for all! Apply today so we can see what you have to offer. We are expecting over 4000 people the attend the festival weekend and they are going to be looking for delicious food!
 
Returning applicants can log in with last year’s credentials and update your info. If you didn’t save your info, start a new one.
 
Our submission deadline is April 17th and selections will be finalized by May 1st. Submitting an application does not assure a vendor space at this event. We like to try new vendors each year!
 
Fees for food booths are relative to the amount of booth frontage you prefer. Choices are either 20' frontage with 20' depth for $1600 or 10' frontage x 20' depth for $1000. Food trucks should select the 20' x 20' space. Credit card information will be collected with this application, but only charged after acceptance emails have been sent. 
 
Fees include wristbands for your staff, plus parking/camping stickers for your vehicles. Vendors in 20'x20' spaces are allotted 5 wristbands and 2 stickers. Vendors in 10'x10' spaces are allotted 3 wristbands and 2 sticker. If you need more wristbands or camping stickers than allotted, buy those ahead of time on-line at greatblueheron.com or at the gate on arrival. There is no charge for putting extra vehicles in the Red Lot.
 
Electric and water are within reach of each space, but each vendor needs to bring their own water hoses and extension cords. Be as efficient as you can with both. Our electric supply does not allow for electric for RVs, especially not for air conditioners. Ask us for local propane suppliers, if needed. We sell ice on site.
 
Vendor may arrive Thursday to set up, any time after 2pm. Wednesday arrivals must have prior approval and confirm a time with our vendor coordinators. You may start selling food on Thursday; there will be nearly 1000 people on site by dinner time. Arriving on Friday morning is also fine, but you'd need to be ready to serve by dinner time. Friday vendor gate opens at 8am.
 
The music starts Friday around 3pm and goes almost around the clock till Sunday around dark. Refer to the website for a full schedule of the music and plan your hours accordingly. Blue Heron weekend traditionally has very late-night business both Friday & Saturday. Breakfasts are also very popular every morning.
 
AFTER VENDORS ARE APPROVED THERE WILL BE A FEW MORE STEPS. We will send an email with directions regarding these documents. 
 
-Contact Chautauqua County Dept of Health to get your Temporary Food Vendor Permit
-Submit a Certificate of Liability
-Submit a Certificate of Authority to Collect NYS Sales Tax 
-Submit a Business Certificate or NYS Filing Receipt
-Sign a Concessionaire Agreement for the NYS Liquor Authority

Terms & Conditions

All vendors are responsible for collecting and paying sales tax to New York State. Our tax rate is 8%.
Clothing items are tax exempt in Chautauqua County.
This is a rain or shine event.
Vendor fees are non-refundable.
