About the event

This Fundraiser is a Celebration of Celebrating all women (especially Women of Color) Owned Businesses as well as other inspiring and empowering women within our community. My Blackest Blu: The Creative Art Gala is a fundraiser to bring awareness to our annual one of a kind community event Sista Soul Fest. Sista Soul Fest is on its way to becoming a nationwide ALL women owned businesses festival where individually we come together collectively for OUR communities. This Fundraiser is a Celebration of the BLACK Women Owned Businesses as well as other inspiring and empowering women within our community. C ome Join us for an evening of Live Music, Auction, Hors D'ourves, Cash Bar and More! This is a Semi Formal Affair. No Jeans Permitted. Come MET Gala Runway Ready!!! IN YOUR FINEST BLU or BLACK

How many pieces of art can I submit?
Two (2)
 When does my art have to be submitted?Wednesday, January 3rd Where should I send/mail my art? All non perishable creative art work should be delivered ( via mail, FedEx, UPS or in person) ATTENTION:  Loretta Windsor

Des Moines Iowa 50309.  I am a baker / pastry chef how does this work for me?PASTRY Bakers please bring your master work the day of the event to Bella Love Event center at 1:30pm no later than 3:00pm please. I am a fashion designer how does this work for me?
We recommend creating a prototype. Once sold you will connect with the buyer for the correct sizing and fitting.  Does my Art work have to match the theme?No, it does not. This is just an option for anyone who may need inspiration.
What percentage of the final sell do I get?
The Art Gala is a fundraiser for the annual Sista Soul Fest in August of every year. Therefore, 30% of the final sell is returned to the creative artist. 
Can I bring a plus one?
You are encouraged to invite all of your friends and family members. However, everyone will need to purchase a ticket at tinyurl.com/MyBlackIsBluTix 
 
How long will it take to get my payment?
All payouts will be disbursed no later than (14) business days from the day of the event
 
Will I get my art submission back if it does not sell?
Although we do not anticipate having to return your art submission, it will be returned to you. We will notify you within (3) business days if you do not attend the Art Gala/Auction.  You will need to make arrangements for pick up or shipping.
 
Is this a child friendly event?
Yes, however they will need a ticket as well. We suggest ages 13 and up. Please be advised this is for a mature crowd. There will be alcohol being served on premises. the
