Bear-y HAPPY BIRTHDAY! The award-winning National Black Bear Festival is excited to announce that we are in the planning stages for our annual event starting on Friday May 31, 2024 at 5:00 pm and all day on June 1, 2024. Each Bear Festival is better than the last, and this year will be no exception!!! You won't want to miss out on this celebration.

About the application

Thank you for your interest in the 10th  Black Bear Festival and our very first National Black Bear Festival! With more and more happy faces attending the NC Black Bear Festival each year from all across the country and the world, we strive to make our festival BIGGER and BETTER each year!  The National Black Bear Festival 2024 will be the best yet with additional selling time added to Friday night!  Those that have been with us at previous festivals, will notice the new opening time and change in the events.  As always, we will do everything to provide a fun and safe festival for all.  Please make sure to read this application in its entirety and complete all requirements so that there is no delay in your submission.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.  This is an electronic agreement and by your submission, you are validating and approving this agreement.  We can not wait to partner with all of you to make this National Black Bear Festival on June 1st wonderful beyond imagination!
 
 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Terms & Conditions

1. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance and booth space.  2. Applications are accepted on a space-available basis. 3. Provide a clear and accurate description of your products on the application.  4. If you sell unapproved items of any type, you may be asked to leave. Either way, you will be banned from this festival in the future  .5. The NC Black Bear Festival cannot guarantee that other vendors will not duplicate your type of craft or items.  6. All applications must be received by April 1, 2024.  All booth sites will be assigned prior to the event with confirmation sent as soon as assignments are completed.  7. Payment Information for space must accompany application. Fees will be collected upon approval for the event. 8. Registration fees are non-refundable with the exception of confirmed cancellations made prior to May 1, 2024*    9. Absolutely NO T-shirt sells or raffles will be allowed.   10. Vendor set up time on Friday, May 31st will be assigned according to their location.  It is important that you pay close attention to the time you are giving for set up this year.  Not arriving at your allotted time may result in your booth location being changed to an overflow area.  11. You are responsible for items left at your booth. 12. All vendors must clean the area around their booth space(s) before they leave at the end of the day (10:00 PM). 13. The need for a larger than 20 service amp electrical hook-up must be communicated and approved in advance. 14. Generators are only allowed if you have communicated the need for one in this application and had it approved. 15.  All vendors must bring their own materials/bucket weights to make sure that their tent is stable and secure on the street.  No stakes are allowed in the street.  16.  Vendors will be responsible for proper disposal of trash/grease at designated drop off points.  Any vendor dumping inappropriate materials will be fined and immediately removed from the Festival.  Vendors will be notified of drop off locations prior to the Festival.  17. The NC Black Bear Festival Committee reserves the right to remove any vendor from the Festival if it feels the vendor is in violation of the rules and regulations or the spirit of the Festival. BOOTH FEES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED IF A VENDOR IS CONSIDERED TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THE RULES.
 
 
 

Prices

Commercial Retail Vendor: Bring your own tent, table and chairs. (10 X 10) $250 Non-refundable Commercial items are sold by the vendor. (i.e. items that are bought and resold by the vendor)
Hand Made Vendor $200 Non-refundable Only items made by the vendor are being sold.
Electricity for one 20 amp receptacle (Vendors must supply their own Ext. Cords) $150 Non-refundable Vendor Electricity will be at a premium this year. Please make sure that you include the reason you need the electricity on question #13...i.e. if it is necessary for you to display your products.
