About the application

We are happy you have opened our application for the 7th Annual Bernalillo Indian Arts Festival on May 4th and 5th, 2024.     Saturday, 9am to 5pm and Sunday, 9am to 4pm.     at Loretto Park, 237 South Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo NM 87004.

APPLICATION FEE:  $35 due with each submitted application (non-refundable)
EACH artist (single booth or sharing) must fill out an application and MUST pay the $35 fee.
COLLABORATING artists (two artists working on one finished product) will fill out a single application and pay only one application fee.
 
TRIBAL DOCUMENT NEEDED: Your CIB or letter of Tribal Enrollment is needed with this Application.
 
JURIED CLASSIFICATIONS:  Classifications are listed as Categories in this online application.  Artists may apply into two classifications only.  Please include three (3) photos of current artwork for each applied classification (plain white backgrounds if possible).  Please visit our website,  www.bernalilloindianfestival.com for classification standards.

NOTE:  Youth artists, age 17 and younger, may sell and share a booth with a Juried Booth mentor.  Youth artists do not pay an application fee or booth fee;  however, before Festival day, we must have the  name of the Youth Artists, their CIB and three images of their work.
 
 BOOTH SPACE PRICES: 
10'x10':  $375 Single Artist or full time collaborators in one booth space 
10'x20':  $650 Single Artist in two booth spaces
10'x10':  $600 (Full Payment) TWO artists in one space 
10'x10':  $600 (split payment Two Artists-1 booth space paying $300 individually  
 10'x20': $750-Family Booth-direct family members only-4 artists-2 booths 
 
NEW OPPORTUNITY:  Alternative/non-traditional arts merchandise:  Upon approval by ANAA committee, 20% of your market booth space can be for non-traditional merchandise that complements your Artist's brand. (Similar to quality museum gift shop items)  Example:  coffee mug with artist's work as the major design).  You must also disclose to the public the origin of this art. 
 
 
 
 

Terms & Conditions

ELIGIBILITY:  The jury process is ongoing, and Artists will be notified of acceptance or not.  Authentic Native Arts Association, Inc. and Bernalillo Indian Arts Festival,  comply with the Native American eligibility requirements of the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990.  Therefore, each artist must present a copy of his CIB  tribal affiliation or an Artisan Letter from a Federally recognized tribe.   
LIABILITY:  Neither Authentic Native Arts Association, Inc. nor the City of Bernalillo is liable for any theft or damage to an artist’s merchandise or personal property.   ANAA, the City of Bernalillo and the Festival event’s staff, agents, representatives and volunteers will not be held responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property of exhibitors, their representatives, customers or any other person and/or injury to any person participating in is event for any reason. 
NEW MEXICO SALES TAX:  Authentic Native Arts Association, Inc is not responsible for collection the sales tax on items sold.   Collection of sales tax is the responsibility of each artist.  Since a list of participants is available to the Town of Bernalillo and, since they are gracious enough to support our market, we ask that you report Gross Receipts tax to: SANDOVAL COUNTY, CITY of BERNALILLO (not the county), Location Code 29-120 on your New Mexico Sales tax return.   Sellers license for Out of State Artists go to:  https://tap.state.nm.us/TAP/_/#10
BOOTH SPACE:  We only provide the space. You are responsible for your own set-up, tents, chairs, tables, displays, etc.  We will do our best to accommodate your preference but reserve the right to make the final assignment of booth location.  
2024 REFUND POLICY:: 
1.    $35 Application Fee is non-refundable
2.     If the festival is cancelled because of  wind or weather, NO refunds, NO rollovers will be issued.
3.    There will be a $35 cancellation fee for all cancellations below
Until April 4, booth fee fully refundableApril 5 to April 19, 70%      refundable  -. April 20 to May 1, 30% refundable - May 2 to market,  no refund
 
 

Prices

Application fees due now - (After you are juried in, you will be invoiced for your booth fee). $35 Non-refundable There is a $35 non-refundable application fee which is due now with application. Booth fees will be billed to each artist at a later date.
10x10 Booth $375 Non-refundable Single artist in a booth space 10 feet wide and 10 feet deep.
10x20 Booth $650 Non-refundable Single artist in a double booth
Two artists in a single booth - one payment $600 Non-refundable Two artists sharing one 10x10 booth space - each must pay $300. You will be invoiced at a later date for your booth payment
two artists in one booth - split fees $600 Non-refundable Each artist sharing this booth will be billed $300 separately
Double booth-Family only $750 Non-refundable Up to 4 (four) artists - direct family members- can show in this double booth space
