ABOUT VIRGINIA HIGHLAND DISTRICTThe Virginia Highland District was created to design, develop, and implement strategies of community engagement and economic development. We have had great success with community events in the past, including our Porchfest that brought the neighborhood alive with tens of thousands of attendees. We have also created a summer series that includes Food Truck Fridays, along with Yoga in the Park and a weekly Farmers Market. Please check us out https://virginiahighlanddistrict.com or on Instagram and Facebook as @virginiahighlanddistrict. WINTERFEST HOLIDAY ARTS MARKETOn Saturday, December 9, Virginia Ave & Lanier Blvd will be closed to create the Winterfest Artist Market from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm -- a holiday gift fair with a German street market theme, including festive lights, music and drinks. It is free for the public to attend the market. There will also be a Tour of Lights, 2-mile Jingle Jog and holiday parade to complete the weekend.   VENDOR APPLICATION INFORMATIONIf you are interested in becoming a vendor, please complete this form along with a $25 application fee. Oct 1: Selected vendors will be notified of their acceptanceOct 15: An additional $175 booth fee due If the event is canceled due to severe weather or other conditions beyond our control, we will offer a booth fee refund of $50. We cannot offer a full refund because of the extensive expenses of producing an event. BOOTH INFORMATIONVendors will be assigned a 10 ft wide x 10 ft deep EMPTY space. Vendors are responsible for providing their entire display, including tables, tent, chairs, tablecloths, and other display items. Vendors must use a tent that is 100% white. No exceptions! Your booth location and a staggered market day set-up schedule will be provided prior to Dec 9.  It is important for vendors to respect their assigned set-up time and to keep their booth in operation from 11:00 AM until close of the market at 5:00 PM.  Please do not miss your assigned set up slot and do not begin breaking down early. We look forward to reviewing your application. About the event

Virginia Highland Winterfest will begin with a Tour of Lights Block Party on Friday, December 8 to show off the neighborhood’s most vibrant holiday decorations. On Saturday, December 9, we will start off with a Jingle Jog, followed by a Holiday Parade. The day will rev up with one of the biggest in-town holiday artist's markets, with live music to pair.

Terms & Conditions

  • Rain or Shine - no refunds; only $50 refund provided for inclement weather if the entire event shuts down.
  • Once accepted, there is a $175 booth fee (plus 3% processing fee) for participation.
  • Vendors must have proof of insurance.
  • Vendors must use a white tent.
  • Vendors must adhere to load in/load out instructions.
  • $25 non-refundable application fee (plus 3% processing fee). Applications chosen by the following considerations:
    • Our market has space for 55-65 vendors. We expect heavy foot traffic, and many vendors sell out by the end of the day.
    • We want content that is unique (i.e. hand-made or custom made) and good quality. 
      We use your online content to decide on whether it fits into the previous point, so being sure that you have good-quality images of your products on your website or/and social media is helpful.
    • We consider a diversity of types of producers 1) to prevent saturation and ensure that vendors have a successful day and 2) so that shoppers have a variety of things to choose from. That means that if we have 10 people apply for the same type of good, such as candles, we can only accept two or so of those applicants.
    • We use the ranking from the first qualification (quality/uniqueness), then defer to this secondary variable of making sure we have different types of goods. For this reason, we sometimes have to reject applicants that still look great.
    • We always try to make sure that we're accepting at least a good handful of vendors that we haven't had before, to ensure that our market is unique each year, so it's always worth applying again.
