We only have a limited number of car spaces available in the park itself at a short walk from the ticket booth but have been able to expand because of good weather!
We still urge folks to car share whenever possible!
The park parking lot is located off New Hope Church Rd, just 500 yards away from I-40 at exit 263 (New Hope) (before the intersection with “new” Highway 86 / entrance opposite Strayhorn Lane).
This parking lot is available rain or shine.

VIP Parking is just off the ADA lot. Look for signs and volunteers to guide you!
General parking is off New Hope Church Road
Anyone who has prepaid for tickets or is on the parking pass list have reserved spaces in this lot.
Anyone without prepaid parking can purchase tickets (which include parking in the general lot) by going to our website saltsmokesound.com.
Tickets with parking will be available for purchase on the day of the festival by going to our website or buying tickets at the main ticket booth
If General Parking gets full, overflow parking will be available at New Hope Elementary then at A.L. Stanback Middle School. Neither are far from Blackwood Farm Park (New Hope is half a mile down 86 on New Hope Church Rd and A.L. Stanback is down about a mile and across Highway 86 in the opposite direction from New Hope Church Rd).
You can walk from New Hope Elementary by coming up New Hope Church Road then walking along 86 to the first park entrance (exit only for cars but pedestrians can walk). There will be a police guard to help people cross safely
You can catch a shuttle bus from A.L. Stanback to the Main Park Entrance for entry into the festival grounds
This transit bus will be running continuously to shuttle festival goers to Salt & Smoke & Sound from Weaver Street in Hillsborough, Durham Tech Park and Ride, A.L. Stanhope Middle School.

Parking opens at 12:00pm
Doors open at 12:30pm
Music starts at 12:45pm
Bars close at 9pm
Music until 9:30pm
Park closes at 10:00pm
Admission & Ticketing: All ages are welcome, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, and only those purchased from authorized vendors will be honored. Re-entry is NOT permitted even with a valid wristband. This is due to strict alcohol policies for a family friendly community festival. Lost or damaged wristbands will not be replaced.
Chairs & blankets are allowed and encouraged! There will be plenty of space to set up a picnic or home base in a large field to the right of the stage and vendor areas. There are also picnic tables around the space that can be used by any attendees
Bag Check: we reserve the right to inspect bags for any prohibited items such as but not limited to weapons of any kind, alcohol, drugs or any illegal substance. We reserve the right to refuse access to the festival until such items are removed. Small, clear bags are encouraged for ease of entry.
Food & Beverage: All food and beverages must be purchased from on-site vendors. No outside beverages, food or coolers are allowed (exceptions for infants/medical conditions may be made in advance).
Alcohol Rules and Safety: Alcohol sales are restricted to attendees 21 and over with valid ID. IDs will be checked at ticket check in as well as before purchasing alcohol. Sales are restricted to two drinks per person per valid ID at a time. There will be no exceptions on ID checks.
Payments: The festival itself will not accept cash for parking, ticketing, or beverages; only credit cards or digital wallets. Individual vendors, however, may accept cash.
Code of Conduct & Prohibited Items: Attendees must behave respectfully. Prohibited items include illegal substances, weapons, outside alcohol, glass containers, drones, and professional recording equipment (unless pre-approved in writing). All attendees and belongings are subject to search. We reserve the right to remove attendees for misconduct, intoxication or any behavior that is not acceptable and in violation of respectful assembly.
No political signs allowed on park grounds.
Health & Safety: Attendance involves inherent risks. Medical services will be available on-site.
Media & Photography: Attendees consent to being photographed or recorded for promotional purposes. Personal use photography and video are generally permitted.
Accessibility: The festival is ADA compliant, offering accessible parking, restrooms, and assistance.
Refunds & Cancellations: The tickets are non refundable even if the festival is cancelled for any reason included but not limited to inclement weather, public safety, emergency situations or any other valid reason issued by the festival organization or Orange County.
