About the event

NotATypical Festival is a family-friendly, free-to-attend, suburban music festival highlighting mental health awareness, supporting local businesses, and options when it comes to adult socialization. We believe that everyone deserves to feel included, supported, and heard! Our annual event features multi-genre live music, non-profit givebacks, local DJs for vibes all day, free dance lessons with Beyond the Spotlight Dance Studio, and a sensory escape tent if any of our attendees feel overstimulated. We also require our vendors to have an interactive element at their booth so that it truly is an immersive experience. Mark your calendars! Our inclusive block party returns 05.30.2026

About the application

Our Sponsors help create this incredible event so we decided they needed their own name: The Crafted Crew! In exchange for your support you are not only bridging the gap in inclusive event experiences you are also bringing awareness to three mental health non-profits. This year we are supporting The Trevor Project, Limitless Disability, and Project Semicolon. On our end, we will be crafting unique storytelling content for the festival that features every sponsor level in some way! Our printed and digital event guide will continue this year as well as promotion on our flyers and other promotional materials.
