Herb Grover is a retired university professor of biology, ecology, and environmental science and has lived in Pagosa Springs for over a decade. A dedicated volunteer with several regional conservation groups, he participates in forest bird monitoring, the Christmas Bird Count, and shorebird surveys supporting the San Luis Valley refuges. An avid photographer, he documents local landscapes and wildlife and exhibits his work throughout southwestern Colorado.
