The St. Andrew's Society of Detroit Highland Games will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Greenmead Historical Park.
PIPE BAND EVENTS / GRADE / REQUIREMENTS
- Event 21 - Grade IV / Medley 3-5 minutes
- Event 22 - Grade V / Own Choice 3-5 minutes
- Event 23 - Open / 2 PT. Slow March - 4 PT. 6/8 March
PIPE BAND PRIZES
- Event 21: 1st - $450, 2nd - $350, 3rd - $250
- Event 22: 1st - $400, 2nd - 300, 3rd - $200, 4th - $175
- Event 23: 1st - $300, 2nd - $200, 3rd - $100
COMPETITION INFORMATION
- Medals and trophies awarded for all events except those noted.
- Band meeting will be in pipers tent at 11:00 a.m. Please have a band representative present.
- Tents with tables and chairs will be available to bands at cost.
- Band Entry Fee - $50.00 U.S. per event
- A band must consist of at least 5 Pipers, 2 snare drummers and 1 bass drum. These numbers must be present at both massed band parades and in any contest in which the band participates to be eligible for travel or prize monies.
- An accurate count of band members attending must be included with entries.
BAND TRAVEL ALLOWANCE
- Up to 100 miles - $250
- 101 - 300 miles - $400
- Over 300 miles - $500
- Travel allowance limited to first 20 bands to register.
- Bands must participate in both massed bands to receive travel allowance.
- All bands must be entered one week prior to the event to receive complimentary admission to the games by mail.
- Canadian entries should be posted one week earlier.

- Band Drop Off Zone
- A drop-off zone has been established for band equipment. Please call David Martin at 734-464-0468 or email him at davemartin@standrewspipeband.com for more information.
- On-Site Parking
- On-site parking (scarce after 10:00 a.m.) is available for a fee.
- Shuttle Parking
- FREE parking and shuttle service (approximately every 10 minutes) to and from the Highland Games will be available at the Schoolcraft College, on Haggery between 6 and 7 Mile Roads.
- Service runs approximately every 5 minutes

Terms & Conditions
All SOLO competitors must also purchase their own paid general admission ticket to the park, UNLESS you are a member of a competing or non-competing band. In that case, you will get your ticket from your Band leader.
As a participant at the Annual Highland Games, I understand I am assuming the risk of injury, and holding harmless, the Non-Profit St. Andrew's Society of Detroit, DBA The Annual Highland Games.
Your participation contributes to the betterment and support of St. Andrew's Society of Detroit, and The Highland Games, and by registering, you accept all risk and responsibility for your actions on August 1, 2026.
Should you be injured in any way during your participation at the 2026 Annual Highland Games, you agree to waive any rights you may have to litigate or pursue compensation from St. Andrew's Society of Detroit, and The Annual Highland Games.
Your intent as a performer is to assist St. Andrew's Society of Detroit, and The Annual Highland Games, have a successful event, and your benefit will be limited to any prizes earned by your performance.
