About the application
The pageant is open to all genders and gender presentation. It is not a drag competition, but contestants are welcomed to participate in drag. We encourage all contestants to express themselves whatever way feels most authentic to them.
Please read the Applicant Handbook for details on the application process, titles and prizes, responsibilities, and total contestant investment.
The Grand Rapids Pride Pageant is open to residents of the Greater Grand Rapids area who are at least 21 years of age. Applicants must identify as 2-SLGBTQ+ and have reliable transportation to and from the competition and their responsibilities during their reign if they win.
The winner, first runner-up, and second runner-up will make up The Luminary Court from June 1st, 2026 until May 31st, 2027. Contestants who are accepted into the competition will be required to pay a $125 registration fee.
