About the application
The following contestant package will provide you with all the information pertaining to the Prince / Princess / Princex Kansas City Pride Youth Pageant to be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Our Spot KC during the Passages Youth Prom.
All Contestants must be a Kansas City Metropolitan Area County resident: (Jackson, Clay, Platte, Buchanan, MO and Johnson, Wyandotte, Douglas, KS). Contestants must be 16-20 years old at the time of the pageant.
The Prince / Princess / Princex KC Pride Youth Pageant is a gender-inclusive pageant for contestants who believe in the power and importance of LGBTQ+ Community Service, Entertainment, and Pageantry.
Titles:
Prince of Kansas City Pride (Male Presenting)
Princess of Kansas City Pride (Female Presenting)
Princex of Kansas City Pride (Non-Binary/Gender Non-Conforming)
There is no registration fee for the KC Pride Youth Pageant.

Terms & Conditions
What it means to win
Winning the title of Prince, Princess, or Princex of KC Pride will give you a platform in Kansas City that allows you to act as a community leader, representing the Pride that Kansas City LGBTQ+ youth have and becoming a voice for that Pride. The Winners of the pageant will also be required to fulfill the following responsibilities throughout their year of reigning.
1. All winners will perform together on the main stage of Kansas City PrideFest in a production that is coordinated by the KC Pride Entertainment Committee.
2. All winners will work with KC Pride on youth outreach projects (Passages youth group, etc.) and promote LGBTQ+ education within their community.
3. All winners must attend & perform at various Our Spot KC and KC Pride events & fundraisers.
4. All winners will co-organize at least 1 youth variety/ talent/ drag show during their reign that will benefit the KC Pride Youth Royalty Court.
5. Winners are asked to help mentor and offer advice to other youth performers throughout their reign, especially those interested in competing for next year’s pageant.
6. All winners are responsible for attending, performing, and handing down their titles during the next year’s Youth Royalty Court Pageant.
7. A winner may have their title revoked for being involved in illegal activities, or if their actions, conduct, or behavior is found to be demeaning or defaming to their title, the court, or to Our Spot KC or KC Pride.
