Join us as Suwanee Celebrates America 250 with a festive evening honoring our nation’s 250th birthday! This community concert brings neighbors together for a patriotic celebration in Town Center Park. The evening will feature live music on stage (lineup to be announced soon), family-friendly fun, and a red, white, and blue atmosphere worthy of this historic milestone. Pack your lawn chairs, wear your stars and stripes, and join us as we celebrate 250 years of American spirit, freedom, and community: Suwanee-style.

About the application

Step into the spirit of small-town Americana and show off your best homemade pie in the Suwanee Celebrates America 250's Blue Ribbon Pie Contest!

 

Whether your specialty is apple, peach, pecan, berry, cream, or a treasured family recipe passed down for generations, we invite bakers of all ages to enter. Pies will be judged on taste, appearance, creativity, and overall presentation, with blue ribbon bragging rights awarded to the top entries.

 

Bring your sweetest slice of patriotism and compete for a chance to be part of this celebration of America’s 250th anniversary! Spots are limited, so be sure to submit your application early.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Contestants must submit one completed pie for judging.
  2. All pies must be homemade and prepared by the contestant. Store-bought pies or commercially prepared crusts, fillings, or toppings are not permitted.
  3. Contestants may submit only one pie entry.
  4. Pie entries must be dropped off at Suwanee City Hall (330 Town Center Avenue) by 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 10. Late entries will not be accepted.
  5. Contestants must provide a complete list of ingredients on the application, including any potential allergens. Common allergens include milk, eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, and gluten.
  6. Pies requiring refrigeration must be kept chilled until drop-off. Contest organizers are not responsible for food safety issues resulting from improper storage or transport.
  7. Entries must be fully baked and ready to serve. Contest staff will cut and plate pies for judging.
  8. Judging will be based on taste, appearance, crust, texture, creativity, and overall presentation.
  9. Judges' decisions are final.
  10. By entering, contestants grant the City of Suwanee permission to photograph their pie, recipe title, and likeness for promotional purposes related to Suwanee Celebrates America 250.
  11. By participating, the overall winners grant the City of Suwanee permission to post the name and recipe of the winning pie as part of a partnership with Suwanee Magazine.
  12. Contestants must comply with all instructions from event staff.
  13. The City of Suwanee reserves the right to refuse any entry that does not meet these guidelines or is deemed inappropriate for a family-friendly event.
  14. The City of Suwanee reserves the right to modify contest rules, judging criteria, or schedules if necessary.
