OUTfest Idol

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a star? Outfest Idol is your chance to shine in front of a live audience and our panel of judges — and walk away as the new Outfest Idol champion!

  Who Can Enter
Must be 18 or older
Must live, work, or attend school in South Carolina, North Carolina, or Georgia
Space is limited to 10 contestants
Entry Fee: $25

 
  What to Prepare
All contestants must prepare two (2) songs for audition.

Round 1: Each contestant will perform their first song. Judges will score each performance to determine the Top 3 Finalists.
Final Round: The top 3 will each perform their second song in a live sing-off for the title!
 
  Prize Package
The winner of Outfest Idol 2026 will receive:

Two (2) complimentary Prism Passes ($400 value)
A performance opportunity at Revelry – August 1, 2026
A feature performance on the Main Stage at Famously Hot SC Pride – October 17, 2026
 
  How the Winner is Chosen
Round 1 Judging:

Each judge scores on a 1–10 scale
Top 3 are chosen based on combined scores
In case of a tie, judges will vote by ballot to break the tie
Final Round:

Judges rank each finalist:1st place = 10 points
2nd place = 5 points
3rd place = 3 points
 
The contestant with the most total points will be crowned Outfest Idol!
 
 
 
Release of Liability
 

By submitting an application and participating in Outfest Idol, each contestant acknowledges and agrees to assume all risks associated with their involvement in the event. Contestants understand that participation is voluntary and at their own expense, and they hereby release and hold harmless the event organizers, sponsors, and venue operators from any and all liability for injury, loss, or damage of any kind that may occur as a result of participation in this competition.

Furthermore, each contestant agrees to indemnify and defend Famously Hot South Carolina Pride—including its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, and affiliates—against any claims, demands, or legal actions arising out of or related to their participation in Outfest Idol or any associated activities, including but not limited to reasonable attorney’s fees incurred in the defense of such claims.

By submitting an application, the contestant affirms that they have read and fully understand this release and agree to be legally bound by its terms.
