Press, Media, Content Creators, Influencers Application

Carolina Kitty Con is now accepting applications from members of the press, photographers, videographers, content creators, and influencers who would like to cover the event and share it with their audiences.

Carolina Kitty Con celebrates cats, creativity, community, and all things feline. From cat-themed vendors and artists to educational panels, workshops, activities, and special guests, the event offers plenty of opportunities for storytelling, content creation, and media coverage.

We welcome applications from a wide range of media and creators, including:

Journalists & Traditional Media
Writers, reporters, and media outlets covering lifestyle, pets, culture, entertainment, and community events.

Digital Media & Online Publications
Bloggers, podcasters, YouTubers, and digital outlets producing content related to cats, animals, creators, art, pop culture, or local events.

Content Creators & Influencers
Creators with an engaged audience on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, or other social channels who regularly produce original content.

Photographers & Videographers
Professionals capturing event coverage, lifestyle photography, social media content, documentary-style storytelling, or editorial content.

We are especially interested in creators who can help tell the story of Carolina Kitty Con through engaging content such as:

• Event previews or announcements
• Live coverage during the event
• Photo and video highlights
• Creator collaborations
• Post-event recaps and features

Applications will be reviewed based on the quality of past work, audience engagement, and the creator’s ability to authentically share the Carolina Kitty Con experience with their community.

Approved applicants will receive media access to Carolina Kitty Con to capture and share content from the event.

By submitting a Press, Media, Content Creator, or Influencer application for Carolina Kitty Con, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Application & Approval
Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. All applications will be reviewed by the Carolina Kitty Con team based on content quality, audience engagement, relevance to the event, and ability to provide meaningful coverage.

2. Content Requirement
Approved media, creators, and influencers are expected to actively cover Carolina Kitty Con. This includes producing and publishing content related to the event. Coverage should occur before, during, and/or after the event and may include posts, videos, articles, photo coverage, livestreams, or other original content.

Applicants who receive media credentials but fail to produce coverage may not be approved for media access at future Carolina Kitty Con events.

3. Professional Conduct
All media and creators must conduct themselves professionally while attending the event. Disruptive behavior, harassment, or interference with guests, vendors, speakers, or attendees may result in removal of media credentials.

4. Respectful Representation of the Event
By submitting application you agree not to publish defamatory, misleading, or intentionally harmful content about Carolina Kitty Con, its organizers, affiliates, sponsors, partners, vendors, speakers, or attendees. Constructive coverage and honest reporting are welcomed, but content created with the intent to damage the reputation of the event or its participants may result in revocation of credentials,  ineligibility for future events, and potentially legal action.

5. Access & Credentials
Approved applicants will receive media credentials for Carolina Kitty Con. Credentials are non-transferable and must be worn or available upon request while covering the event.

Media access does not grant unrestricted backstage or restricted-area access unless specifically approved by event staff.

6. Photography & Filming
Photography and video recording for editorial or content purposes are permitted. Media must respect the privacy of attendees, vendors, and guests. Certain areas, sessions, or individuals may request limited or no filming.

Commercial filming, sponsored brand activations, or staged promotional shoots must be approved in advance by Carolina Kitty Con.

7. Use of Event Branding
Media may reference Carolina Kitty Con in coverage but may not represent themselves as official partners or spokespeople of the event without written permission.

8. Schedule & Event Operations
Carolina Kitty Con reserves the right to modify schedules, locations, and event programming as needed. Media must follow all venue policies and instructions from event staff.

9. Revocation of Credentials
Carolina Kitty Con reserves the right to revoke media credentials at any time if these terms are violated or if media access is used inappropriately.

10. Media Use by Event
By attending with media credentials, you grant Carolina Kitty Con permission to share or repost publicly published content from the event for promotional purposes with proper credit to the creator.
