Float Design & Decorations:
Participants are encouraged to create festive, eye-catching floats that reflect this year’s theme. Celebrate Palmer’s history, community spirit, and the people who have helped shape our town. Creativity is strongly encouraged!
Safety:
All floats must be constructed with safety in mind. Please ensure that structures are secure, walkways are clear, and there are no hazards to participants or spectators.
Let’s come together to showcase what makes Palmer special and make the 2026 Colony Days Parade a celebration to remember!

Terms & Conditions
HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT: I, and the entrant I am authorized to represent, agree to indemnify and hold harmless Greater Palmer Chamber of Commerce, its Board of Directors, committees, and members, against any and all claims which results from participation in the 2026 Colony Days Parade by entrant I represent.
RULES & REQUIREMENTS
Documentation/Insurance
To keep everyone as safe as possible, entrants are asked to ensure that all vehicles (with the exception of farm tractors) and drivers are licensed, registered and insured, and to have an increased awareness of vehicle proximity to walkers.
Proof of Insurance must be submitted with entry form.
With these and other safe-guards we will enable all parade-goers
and entrants to celebrate this exciting event safely.
Safety Notes
Car & motorcycle groups will be required to drive 2 abreast along the parade route. There will be no revving of engines, “wheelies”, or “laying rubber.”
You may not throw candy or items from moving vehicles. All items must be handed out by individuals walking along the route. Failure to abide by
these rules will result in being denied entry in future parades.
All entrants with animals must provide cleanup immediately following the animal.
Check-In/Number Assignment
Thank you for your terrific support! All participants must check in with our Parade Leader between 10-10:45 am on June 13th. All parade entries must be in place by 10:45 am.
Prizes
1st place awards will be awarded. Awards will be awarded for
the overall 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners. All winners will be notified within two weeks of the event
using the contact information provided in the application.
Important to Note
Limit the length of your entry, and avoid extended stops/performances in front of the reviewing stand.
