Rules Governing Competition
- The competition is run and conducted according to RSOBHD rules.
- First to enter, last to dance.
- All judge’s decisions are final.
- In the event of a protest, a fee of $25 must accompany the written complaint. The fee will be returned if the protest is upheld.
- All dancers must report when called or will forfeit entry in that event.
- Dancers must show their 2025 registration card or may not compete. Photocopies or photographs are not permitted.
- Age is computed as of date of competition. Proof of age must be provided if requested.
- Trophies will be awarded in each category (except Primary) and will be based on overall aggregate points. Medals will be awarded in all Pre-Premier categories. Cash prizes will be awarded for Premier categories. Dancers must be in costume to receive awards.
- Age groups will be determined by organizer based on entries received.
- Depending upon the number of entries received, the organizer reserves the right to change the schedule (with prior notice), combine or split age groups.
- Event held rain or shine.
- No Field entries accepted; NO REFUNDS. All fees must be in US currency.
- It is the dancer’s responsibility to abide by the Three-Month Rule (may not have taken any classes, Skype lessons, workshops, etc. with the judge for the event).
- Most Promising Beginner, Novice & Intermediate awards will be presented and are the judge’s decision.
