Apply for a Press & Media Pass to gain special access to capture the action, spotlight our creators, and share the convention experience with your audience. We welcome responsible, enthusiastic media partners ready to amplify the galaxy!

Press & Media Pass Terms & Conditions – GOM CON 2025

By applying for and accepting a Press & Media Pass for GOM CON: Galactic Getaway, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These guidelines ensure a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all attendees, guests, exhibitors, and staff.

 
1. Eligibility & Approval
Press & Media Passes are available to bloggers, photographers, videographers, livestreamers, journalists, influencers, and content creators covering the event for legitimate platforms.
Applicants must provide active links to their social media, website, or publication.
Approval is not guaranteed; GOM CON reserves the right to accept or deny any application.
 
2. Required Event Promotion
As part of receiving a complimentary Press & Media Pass, all approved media partners must post at least one story or social media mention that includes:

A promotion of our next event: “The Geek Out Pool Party – August 2nd, 2026.”

This must be posted during or immediately after GOM CON weekend.
Post must tag @thegeekout242 and use event hashtags where applicable.
Failure to complete this post may result in removal from future media accreditation.

 
3. On-Site Conduct
Media must behave professionally and respectfully toward attendees, staff, exhibitors, and guests at all times.
Harassment, disruptive behavior, or invading personal space is strictly prohibited.
You must obtain consent before taking close-up photos or videos of individuals, especially minors and cosplayers.
 
4. Content Restrictions
NSFW content, inappropriate behavior, or recordings that portray the event, attendees, or staff in a negative or unsafe manner are prohibited.
Press may not film in restricted areas, backstage zones, or guest green rooms unless explicitly authorized.
 
5. Usage Rights & Permissions
By attending, you grant GOM CON permission to share or repost any content you create that features the event.
GOM CON may use footage or photos for marketing or archival purposes with credit where applicable.
 
6. Equipment & Safety
You are responsible for your own equipment. GOM CON is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
Tripods, lighting rigs, or oversized equipment must not block walkways or create hazards.
 
7. Badge Rules
Your Press & Media badge is for media access only and does not grant backstage access unless pre-approved.
Badges are non-transferable. Misuse may result in confiscation.
 
8. Revocation Clause
GOM CON reserves the right to revoke a Press & Media Pass at any time for violation of these terms.
Those removed for misconduct may be barred from future events.
