About the event

Touring neighborhood lights and yard displays is a beloved holiday tradition - and a wonderful way to create lasting memories with family and friends. The City of Rowlett is excited to celebrate the season once again with our annual Light Up Rowlett Awards! To honor the creativity, time, and holiday spirit that goes into outdoor décor, four homes across the city will be recognized for their outstanding holiday displays - and YOU get to choose them! If you know someone with a festive display you love, or if you’d like to nominate your own home, simply snap a photo and submit it with your nomination application no later than Sunday, December 7th at 5:00pm. (Please note: You must personally know the homeowner you are nominating, and they must approve you submitting their information.) By submitting a nomination, you confirm that the nominated homeowner is aware of and approves their home address being included on the official Light Up Rowlett self-guided tour map. Voting will be from December 8th - December 17th

About the application

Submit your nomination for the 2025 Light Up Rowlett! A photo will be uploaded from your application to the event home page at the start of our voting period on Monday, December 8th at 12:00pm. Make sure to cast your vote before Wednesday, December 17th at 5:00pm for your favorite submission. Help them win by encouraging your neighbors to vote too!  The top four winners, along with a self-guided tour map, will be announced on Friday, December 19th on the City of Rowlett social media.

Photo: A minimum of one photo is required for an approved application. Help the odds of who you’re nominating by taking a full view picture of their home. 

 

By submitting a nomination, the submitter acknowledges that the nominated homeowner is aware and approves of their home address being included on the Light Up Rowlett self-guided tour map.
