Join us Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 5:00–9:00 p.m. at the Rowlett Downtown Rowlett for our annual Holiday Main Street Fest and Parade of Lights. Experience an evening filled with holiday cheer, delicious food, craft vendors, and the sparkling Parade of Lights as it makes its way through Main Street. Browse one-of-a-kind gifts and handmade treasures, enjoy festive eats and treats, and soak in the sights and sounds of the season. This cherished Rowlett tradition is the perfect way to kick off the holidays with family, friends, and neighbors. Bundle up, bring your holiday spirit, and make unforgettable memories under the twinkling lights! We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

About the application

Light up the night and celebrate the magic of the season by joining the City of Rowlett’s annual Parade of Lights! This cherished community tradition brings together dazzling floats, sparkling lights, and festive spirit as we parade through Downtown Rowlett during the Holiday Main St. Fest.

Businesses, organizations, schools, and community groups are invited to showcase their creativity and holiday cheer by designing a brightly lit float or vehicle. Whether you’re spreading joy with twinkling lights, themed decorations, or costumed characters, this is your chance to shine and be part of one of Rowlett’s most beloved holiday events!

Terms & Conditions

Thank you for participating in the City of Rowlett’s Holiday Main St. Fest & Parade! To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please review and follow the guidelines below:

  1. Float Height Limit
    • The maximum allowed height for all floats is 13 feet.
    • City staff will measure the height of each float upon arrival at the staging area. Any float exceeding this limit will not be permitted to enter the parade route.
  2. Float & Vehicle Information
    • Participants are required to provide the exact dimensions of both their float and tow vehicle (length, width, and height).
    • Please also include the number of walkers who will be accompanying your float during the parade.
  3. Santa Claus Reminder
    • To help keep the magic alive for the kids, only the City’s contracted Santa Claus will appear in the parade.
    • We kindly ask that no additional Santa-themed floats, costumes, or decorations be included.
  4. Candy & Giveaways
    • Throwing candy or any items from floats is strictly prohibited. This rule is in place to protect the safety of children and spectators along the parade route.
    • If you would like to distribute candy or giveaways, please have designated walkers hand them out along the route.
    We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to making this year’s parade safe, festive, and fun for the entire community. Thank you for helping us make this event a success!
