Creators After Dark 2026 - Nightlife DJ Application

Creators After Dark is seeking experienced DJs to anchor our exclusive 18+ after-hours programming on Friday and Saturday nights. We are looking for specialists in emo, goth, metal, and hip-hop/rap to create an electric, high-energy environment for our attendees.

Please note: All DJs must be 18 years of age or older and must adhere strictly to the CAD Code of Conduct.

By applying for and accepting a position as a Nightlife DJ for Creators After Dark (CAD), the approved DJ ("Provider") agrees to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions, in addition to the comprehensive Creators After Dark Anti-Harassment and Code of Conduct Policy.

1. Services, Term, and Status
   1. Services & Schedule: The Provider agrees to perform DJ services for the Event during the following committed periods:
      • Friday, April 3, 2026: One segment between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM.
      • Saturday, April 4, 2026: One segment between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM.
      • The exact 2-hour set time will be confirmed by the Head of Programming no later than two (2) weeks prior to the Event.
   2. Independent Contractor Status: The Provider is engaged solely as an Independent Contractor. The Provider is not an employee, agent, or representative of the Client and is solely responsible for all income, self-employment, and other taxes.
   3. Age Requirement: The Provider confirms they are 18 years of age or older by the event start date (April 2, 2026).
2. Performance and Technical Requirements
   1. Content and Genre: The Provider must adhere to the contracted genres (Emo, Goth, Metal, Hip-Hop/Rap) and maintain a consistent, high-energy mix appropriate for the late-night atmosphere. All music must be legal, licensed, and suitable for an 18+ audience.
   2. Sound and Volume: The Provider must comply immediately with all sound level (decibel) requests made by the Venue staff or the Head of Programming (Sugar). Excessive volume or feedback issues that disrupt the Venue are grounds for immediate termination.
   3. Equipment: The Client will provide the main speakers, subwoofers, and standard power connections. The Provider is responsible for bringing and operating all necessary personal equipment, including, but not limited to, mixer, controller, laptop, headphones, and music library.
   4. Setup/Breakdown: The Provider must be fully set up and ready to begin spinning no less than 15 minutes prior to their scheduled start time and must completely vacate the space within 15 minutes of their scheduled end time.
3. Compensation and Termination
   1. Compensation: Compensation for the total service hours will be outlined in a separate written Addendum to this Agreement, based on the rate and package negotiated during the application process.
   2. Expenses: The Provider is responsible for their own personal travel, equipment insurance, and any parking fees unless otherwise provided in the compensation Addendum.
   3. Termination for Cause: The Client reserves the right to terminate this Agreement and immediately dismiss the Provider from the Venue for any breach of the Code of Conduct, failure to adhere to the schedule, or unprofessional conduct during the performance of services. Termination will result in the immediate forfeiture of any remaining unpaid compensation.
