Firefighters’ Parade – Friday, May 1, 2026 (6:00 PM step-off) A beloved tradition honoring our local heroes, the Firefighters’ Parade features fire and rescue units from across the region, along with vibrant community groups, performers, and more. It’s a festive evening full of energy and hometown pride in the heart of Old Town Winchester.
Terms & Conditions
By submitting an application and/or participating in the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® Firefighters’ Parade (“the Parade”), the participant (“Entrant”) acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions:
Assumption of Risk
The Entrant understands and agrees that participation in the Parade is voluntary and involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, property damage, and other hazards associated with public events. The Entrant assumes all such risks, whether known or unknown, and accepts full responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained before, during, or after the Parade.
Release of Liability
The Entrant, on behalf of themselves, their organization, employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives, hereby releases, discharges, and holds harmless the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival®, Inc., its directors, officers, employees, agents, sponsors, and volunteers from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to participation in the Parade, including those caused by negligence or other acts or omissions.
Insurance and Compliance
The Entrant is responsible for maintaining adequate insurance coverage for their vehicles, apparatus, and participants. All participants agree to comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws, as well as Parade rules and regulations set forth by the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival®. Entrant will supply the Festival with a copy of insurance.
Indemnification
The Entrant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival®, Inc. and its representatives from any claims, actions, or damages arising from the Entrant’s participation in the Parade, including property damage or injury caused by the Entrant or their equipment.
Right to Refuse Participation
The Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® reserves the right to deny participation or remove any Entrant from the Parade at its discretion for safety or conduct reasons.
Media Release
The Entrant grants permission for the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® to use photographs, video, or other media coverage of the Parade featuring the Entrant’s organization or participants for promotional, educational, or informational purposes, without compensation.
By submitting an application or participating in the Firefighters’ Parade, the Entrant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions

- Parade passes will not be mailed out this year. I understand that I will need to pick up my parade pass at the Firetruck Rodeo at Millbrook High School between 9:30am-1pm in order to participate in the parade.

- The apparatus I am registering will be in sound condition, roadworthy as required by the state in which the apparatus is registered and titled and will carry liability and property damage insurance (as indicated in the information above). This insurance will be in force for the entire period that the apparatus is on site or static display activities. I/We agree to hold the Old Dominion Historical Fire Society, Frederick County Public Schools, Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® harmless for any liability I/We may incur. I, the owner or operator(s) agree to abide by all safety rules and regulations as may be set forth for this particular event and to obey all directions of the safety officer(s). Wheel chocks, and operational fire extinguisher, and a basic first aid kit will be required for each piece of motorized fire or rescue apparatus.
