Terms & Conditions
Our cosplay contest works like most cosplay contests you are familiar with. You pre-register here, show up to the con, check the schedule to confirm pre-judging times, and then you show up for pre-judging at the appropriate time. This is where things differ from the norm.
- During pre-judging instead of the normal panel of judges, our Master Level craftsman and contest coordinator, Alecta Arcana will be present to get you checked in.
- You will be called up by division, at which point you will be questioned about your crafting process, you will be asked consent to examine your costume closer. And a photo will be taken.
- Your photo as well as stage name and character will be entered into our voting form, after which you will be released to wander the show, relax before the contest starts.
- 15 minutes prior to the contest you will be return to get placed into voting form order, you will then be positioned for the stage walk portion of the contest.
- During your stage walk you will have up to 1 minute to complete your stage walk, this can be a short skit, poses, showing off parts of your cosplay. Make it fun and make it unique.
- After all contestants have walked the stage, the audience will be tasked with going to vote on their favorites from the show, they will have 30 minutes to vote.
- The last step before announcing winners will be to have the cosplay contestants walk the stage a 2nd time, be mindful of those in front of and behind while doing so.
While this is branded as an Audience vote contest, craftsmanship is still very important, our Master Level Judge Alecta Arcana retains a majority of the weight in determining final placements.
- The Audience vote has the most weight in determining the winner of the performance category.
All Craftsmanship categories are weighed at a 75% craftsmanship / 25% Performance. - The Audience does not hold final say on any aspect of the contest, prizes, or placements.
- Our Master level judge maintains an unbiased opinion, placements are determined by a combination of skill level, difficulty, and stage presence. Any discrepancies in vote and skill level will be resolved by her.
