Encampment Application-Festival 2026

This is an application for a space in the festival grounds with a period encampment.  All equipment should have a historical look and tents have a canvas appearance from 20 feet away.  Modern supplies should be hidden.  Otherwise your camp should be in the modern camping area.  An encampment must have 2 or more tents.  If you are a single tent contact us directly so you can be included in our Staff Encampment.  If you are Demonstrating then fill out that application. 

Camps should be adding to the event and interacting with the public in some way. Each member of the encampment must have a job adding to the festival. We do not hand out passes for just setting up a period tent.  If you have extra people with no camp job they are welcome to apply as a volunteer to get complementary passes but still stay in your encampment.  

Camps with a gate MUST have a welcome or open sign so patrons know they can enter your space.

Encampments can set up on Friday (10am-9pm) or Saturday by 8:30am and should be packed up by Monday morning.  There will be a one way road at the gate to enter which is U shaped.  You can drive in close to your space and pull off the side of the road while you unload.  Do not block the center load in road. Then pull out to the staff parking when you are done.    

Campfires are allowed in a fire pit that can be cleaned up afterwards. No fires directly on the ground. Camping is primitive though there is water and porta potties.   TVE is not responsible for any loss, damages, or injury during this event. 

All staff must adhere to the instructions sent out in the Participants' Guide before the event. Failure to do so may result in the vendor not being invited back. TVE is not responsible for any loss, damages, or injury during this event.  We do have event security.
