Join us for the Klickitat County Harvest Festival Parade—a celebration of small-town spirit, fall fun, and community pride!

Whether you're walking, driving, riding, or waving from the sidewalk, the parade is a highlight of the Harvest Festival and a perfect kickoff to our Trunk-or-Treat celebration!

Official Rules & Regulations

? Route: Simcoe Dr. → Columbus Ave. → Main Street, Goldendale
? General Parade Rules:
All participants must follow the instructions of parade officials and police at all times.
No hate speech, shouting offensive language, or discriminatory behavior will be tolerated.
Do NOT start the parade until instructed by a committee member. Safety barriers, emergency routes, and escorts must be confirmed first.
No alcoholic beverages on floats, in vehicles, or on any person in the parade.
Vehicle drivers must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, and proof of vehicle insurance.
All costumes and performances must be family-friendly and in good public taste. Inappropriate behavior or content will result in removal.
A 30-foot space between entries must be maintained. Close gaps when instructed by officials.
No stopping for performances unless in designated zones. Performances may not exceed 90 seconds.
Parade entries must maintain forward motion at all times unless otherwise directed.
? Float Guidelines:
Floats must be decorated completely, including any tow vehicles.
No float decorations may protrude from the sides, and all banners must be neatly lettered and legible.
Self-propelled floats must have a spotter with two-way communication with the driver.
No one may mount or dismount a float during the parade.
No body parts may hang off the front, back, or sides of the float (extreme safety hazard).
Suggested platform: 7 ft wide × 15 ft long with a steerable front axle (e.g., farm wagons).
? Bands / Marching Units:
Marching units must keep continuous forward motion—no stopping unless in a designated zone.
Gaps larger than 50 feet must be closed by increasing pace.
Performances may not last more than 90 seconds at any designated stop.
? Kings / Queens:
Open to royalty from local schools and recognized pageants.
Must provide your own vehicle with a licensed driver age 18 or older.
Max 2 participants per vehicle (excluding driver).
? Line-Up & Route Details:
Approved entries will be assigned a line-up number and receive detailed instructions.
All parade vehicles and walking groups must arrive at Goldendale Primary School parking lot no later than 10:30 AM.
Parade steps off promptly at 11:00 AM.
Parade Route:
Starts at Goldendale Primary School → West on Simcoe Drive → South on Columbus Ave → Turn onto East Main Street
