Join us in the heart of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, for the 2025 Deaconess Illinois Crossroads Parade – a highlight of Mt. Vernon Fall Fest! This year’s theme, “Small Town, Common Ground,” celebrates the shared values, connections, and community spirit that unite our town and surrounding areas. The parade invites regional organizations, schools, businesses, and families to creatively showcase what “common ground” means to them – from hometown pride and heritage to collaboration and unity.
Held in beautiful downtown Mt. Vernon, the Deaconess Illinois Crossroads Parade is a fun, family-friendly tradition that brings thousands of residents and visitors together. It’s an opportunity to celebrate our roots, embrace our neighbors, and highlight the many things that make small-town life special.
Terms & Conditions
Decorated entries ONLY! The theme is “Small Town, Common Ground”.
Each entry is limited to two vehicles.
COST: Parade entry is FREE to sponsors, individuals, schools, and not-for-profits & $25 for business and political entries.
Parade line-up begins at 11:00 a.m.
Judging will be held at 12:00 p.m.
Line-up will be on a first-come, first-served basis, excluding emergency vehicles, Parade Grand Marshal and Major Sponsors. Line-up on 7th Street starting at Jordan facing north.
Prices
| Business & Political Entry Application Fees | $25.00 | Entry Fee: A $25 fee is required for for-profit businesses and political entries. This nominal fee helps offset the operational costs of organizing the parade, including logistics, safety, and staging. We appreciate your support in making the Deaconess Illinois Crossroads Parade a successful community event! |
| Non-profit, school or individual entry | $0.00 | There is no charge for schools, individuals and non-profit organizations who would like to have an entry in the parade. |
