Join us in capturing the spirit of Pride Weekend 2025! This application grants media and press access to approved outlets, journalists, content creators, and photographers for coverage across our signature events:
Pride Block Party – June 20 at The NorVa
PrideFest – June 21 at Town Point Park
Pride at the Beach – June 22 at 31st Street Oceanfront Stage
We welcome applications from:
- Accredited Press (TV, print, radio, digital outlets)
- Freelance Journalists & Content Creators
- Artistic & Hobbyist Photographers (up to 10 passes available)
Media passes grant access to designated areas for coverage. They do not include backstage or artist-only access unless coordinated in advance.
For artistic/hobbyist photographers: Hampton Roads Pride may assign areas for quick image capture. We request a copy of your photos post-event for use in marketing and community storytelling. You’ll receive photo credit on all published materials.
Terms & Conditions
GENERAL TERMS
Credential Use:
- Media passes are non-transferable and must be worn visibly at all times while on site.
- Pass holders must comply with all staff instructions and security protocols.
- Credentials do not grant backstage, VIP, or artist-only access unless explicitly pre-approved.
Professional Conduct:
- All pass holders must conduct themselves in a respectful, inclusive, and professional manner.
- Any disruptive, unsafe, or discriminatory behavior may result in immediate removal and revocation of credentials.
ELIGIBILITY & ACCESS
Types of Passes:
Media & Press credentials are open to:
- Accredited press (news outlets, TV/radio stations, print media)
- Freelance journalists or content creators
- Artistic or hobbyist photographers (limited to 10 approved passes)
Event Access:
Pass holders may request access to one or more of the following:
Pride Block Party (June 20, 2025 – The NorVa, 21+ only)
PrideFest (June 21, 2025 – Town Point Park)
Pride at the Beach (June 22, 2025 – 31st Street Oceanfront Stage)
Access will be limited to general admission and designated media areas.
PHOTO & VIDEO CONTENT
Content Capture Guidelines:
- No flash photography or intrusive gear in performance spaces.
- Live streaming of full performances is not permitted without written permission.
- Interviews or close-up recordings of performers or attendees require consent.
Image Submission (for Hobbyist/Artistic Photographers):
- Approved photographers agree to deliver a digital collection of high-resolution photos (unedited or lightly edited) to media@hamptonroadspride.org within 7 days of the event's conclusion.
- You may be assigned specific areas or times to capture event highlights.
CONTENT USAGE & RIGHTS
Media Outlet Publishing:
- All published content must credit Hampton Roads Pride and/or tag our official social media when applicable.
- We encourage media outlets to share links to their coverage for potential promotion by the organization.
Marketing & Promotion Rights (for Photographers):
- By participating as a credentialed photographer, you grant Hampton Roads Pride, Inc. non-exclusive rights to use any submitted or publicly shared photos in our marketing, advertising, press materials, and archives.
- Photo credit will always be attributed when used in print or digital publications.
LIABILITY & RELEASE
Assumption of Risk:
- Pass holders attend and operate at their own risk. Hampton Roads Pride is not liable for injury, loss of equipment, or damage during the event.
Indemnification:
- By participating, you agree to hold harmless Hampton Roads Pride, its partners, sponsors, and volunteers from any claims arising from your actions or materials created during the event.

Prices
| Media Credential | $0.00 | Each approved media outlet or applicant may request up to 2 passes to accommodate essential team members (e.g., reporter + photographer). Please only request the number of passes truly needed, as credentials are limited and granted based on coverage intent and capacity. - Freelancers and independent photographers may request 1 pass only. - Artistic/hobbyist photographers will be selected individually and may only receive 1 pass. All passes are subject to approval and non-transferable. Credentials will be distributed via email the week of the event with instructions for pickup or digital check-in. |
