About the event

Tekko is Pennsylvania's largest anime convention, attracting nearly 12,000 unique and diverse fans from across the country (and world!) to the region. We aren't just any old anime convention, though. We offer so much more by featuring Japanese arcade games, J-rock, J-fashion, Japanese pop culture, and education in our programming. Additionally, we choose a unique theme every year to explore new content, such as wrestling, mecha, sports, and more. This makes us one of the most diverse anime and Japanese culture conventions in the country, and we aren't done expanding yet! Tekko is presented by a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the Pittsburgh Japanese Culture Society (PittJCS) . We've been bringing fans together for more than 20 years at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

About the application

So you want to host a session at Tekko 2024? Fabulous! But first, we are going to need to understand a bit more about what you would like to present to make sure it's a good fit for this event. Please answer the questions below for your panel or workshop. If you'd like to submit more than one application, that's awesome! You will just need to submit separate forms for each panel application. Once finished, you should receive a confirmation including the details of your submission. If you don't receive one, please let us know at programming@pittjcs.org

Please feel free to contact our Programming Team with any questions or concerns via email: programming@pittjcs.org We look forward to reviewing your submissions!

Terms & Conditions

Tekko reserves the right to accept or decline panel applications for any reason.

Panels & Workshops at Tekko are reimbursable at a rate of $20/hour of content to be divided among the presenters as determined by the Head Panelist. Any one panelist (head or co), may not receive more in total reimbursement than the cost they paid for their badge. For examples and more clarification, please refer to https://tekko.us/panels#reimbursement-policy or email us at Programming@pittjcs.org

Cash reimbursement must be picked up at Con-ops after all panels are completed and prior to con-close. Electronic reimbursement can be requested up to 24 hours after con-close. All electronic reimbursement will be returned to the same payment method on file with Eventeny within 3-5 business days.

Panel & Workshop Applications will remain open until May 3rd, 2024 11:59 pm EST. Any submissions received after this deadline will have a much lower rate of acceptance, and at best may be offered a spot on our Wait List. For applications submitted before this deadline, we will send an email to the address you provide below to let you know if your panel or workshop has been accepted. All applicants should utilize the same email that they plan to register and purchase a badge with.
