About the event

Join us on December 6th, 7th and 8th 2024, for the 2nd Annual Christmas on the Square festival in Mountain View, AR. Santa himself will be there, spreading holiday cheer to children of all ages. So, bring your wish lists and capture a special moment with Santa. We will also have Santa's Workshop where children can create their own Christmas decorations and other crafts. Enjoy food vendors, shop in our Tinsel Town craft vendor area, join in singing Christmas carols, playing games and so much more! Saturday, December 7th, we will have a parade down Main St. followed by our big "Light Up the Square" ceremony. Stay tuned for more exciting details about this amazing celebration as we continue to unveil the details of Christmas on the Square! Mark your calendars and spread the word about this fun weekend for the whole family.

About the application

Thank you for your interest in the 2nd Annual Christmas on the Square parade! This year's theme is "A Country Christmas," so please incorporate this theme into your decorations. We're excited to provide our town and visitors with a wonderful Christmas experience, and we're aiming for a diverse parade this year. We'd like to see more floats, special attractions, music, dancers, and animals.

 

If you're planning to have a car in the parade, it should have some significance and connection to the parade's theme rather than just being an advertisement for a business. For example, consider using a vintage car or a convertible carrying an important figure from our community. Make sure to decorate these cars festively incorporating lights. 

 

Here's the schedule:

  • 4:30 PM: Lineup on School Avenue.
  • 5:30 PM: The parade starts at Martin Street and ends at Franklin Avenue.

Let's work together to make this First Annual Christmas on the Square parade a fantastic celebration of "A Country Christmas." We look forward to your creative contributions and the festive atmosphere you'll help create for our town and its visitors.
