The Yachtish festival is a music festival held on the southside of Chicago. This RnB, House, and Hip-Hop festival pairs with an annual black yachting event in July.

About the application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Yachtish music festival volunteer! We appreciate your enthusiasm for helping to launch this festival. Our volunteers are responsible for everything from checking wristbands at the entrance to selling merchandise, assisting the operations team with production needs, or lending a hand in our artist hospitality lounge.

Why should I volunteer?

  • Because money is really tight, and you’re looking for a way to earn a free wristband for the Yachtish music festival.
  • Because you’re not looking to commit to a full 8-hour shift, but still love the idea of getting a discounted wristband for the weekend. 
  • Because you love music, love people, love the community, and really just want to be involved.

 

What are the Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities?

 

Field Assistant – 

Answering questions, helping manage access, checking wristbands, assisting cashier with wristbands as necessary, and working at the direction of the operations manager to make sure festival is operating smoothly.

 

Merchandise Sales – 

You will assist with selling merchandise, food, or drinks at the festival. This volunteer role requires people skills, a desire to help fellow festival goers to look their most fly, and monetary skills with a cash box and cash app. 

 

Social Media Street Team – 

You will assist with capturing Instagram and tik-tokable moments throughout the festival.
