Twin Forests

This one-of- a-kind, fused glass sgraffito drawing is created by manipulating multiple layers of colored crushed glass powders with business cards, rubber tools, and my fingers. The drawing is melted in a kiln at 1460F to melt the crushed glass onto a sheet glass base to make the drawing permanent. Collage style work is like a mosaic of thousands of small pieces melted together, which also include torchworked elements, handmade murinni, and dichroic glass. This piece is mounted on a birch panel with hanging hardware included.
