Description
The sun is setting behind the Bass Harbor lighthouse as its last rays peer from behind the big rock formation. The light touches the edge of the rocks one last time before the sun dips behind the Atlantic Ocean, illuminating the landscape and casting a heavenly glow on the land. The title of this painting hints at both sources of light, the setting sun as well as the magnificent lighthouse.
The brushstrokes mounted with generous amounts of paint gives a beautiful textured effect.
