Description
"Sunlight in the Stream" is inspired by looking at the sunlit patterns on the rocks on the bottom of a stream bed. This is a mixed media painting created on a heavy watercolor paper & gelled on a birch cradle. The art work begins with a powdered charcoal under painting with 22 layers of transparent fluid acrylic paint applied on top. Each layer is dry before the next layer is applied. This technique creates a 3-dimensional look which changes according to the light & angle that you are looking at on the piece.
