Sunday Drive

“Sunday Drive” 6 feet tall 4 feet wide, hand cut paper collage, mixed media. Handmade wood and tin frame. I really put my soul into this one🔥thousands of hand cut pieces of paper and gospel music and bible pages....I built the boneshaker high wheel “Devilocipede” out of antique anatomy bone drawings and the pneumatic tires are anatomy muscles for a smooth ride. A real fear of the Devil was hammered into my childhood, perhaps a bit too excessively by my overly-zealous Jesus-loving Grandma. Now I’m so relieved to realize that my innocent child’s sponge-brain had been duped and conditioned, soaking up any biblical drivel...and that all the devils of my nightmares weren’t really real...or are they?
