Segmented Wood Bowl

Bowl Features This Handturned Segmented Wood Bowl is from my Classics Collection, which feature simple clean lines in classic forms made from mostly North Carolina Hardwoods. This bowl features a center square zig-zag pattern in Purple Dyed Wood, sourrounded by Maple and bounded top and bottom with Pink Dyed Wood. The body of the bowl is made from Beech. Details of the Bowl The bowl is made up of 234 individually cut pieces of wood, with 18, 20 Degree segments in each ring. The bowl measures 9" in diameter and is 4-3/4" tall. The bowl is finished in several coats of Hi Gloss Lacquer. Uses: With most all Handturned Bowls, this is primarily a functional art object. It may be used as a table centerpiece, mantel piece or displayed as a art focal point. It can also be used for Potpourri, Fruit or Nuts, but not exposed to liquid moisture. The finish is very durable, and cleaning may be done with a damp cloth. All of my work is signed by me, Serial Numbered and the species of wood recorded on the bottom.
