Oh Canada

On this, my first visit to Moraine Lake and Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies, I quickly decided I would be spending a lot of my time at this location. As I had been told, the view of Moraine Lake nestled at the base of a series of mountains in the valley of ten peaks was breathtaking. I joked with fellow onlookers that if I ever saved the world I would ask for my own private cabin near the spot I shot this image as my compensation. Knowing that was highly unlikely, I spent numerous mornings and evenings there and captured this dramatic sunrise on my last morning there.
