They provide both relief and stress, keep you from your friends and families, make you stubborn, and so much worse. You usually know it's bad for you but it gives you something you an't find anywhere else, although you can't quite put your finger on what it is exactly. You don't need it, you chose to be in this and Don one else understands the situtaion since they're not in it. You'll quit it one day, right now it's just bad timing. Toxic relationships are a lot like cigarettes; this piece is about both.
