Narrow Escape acrylic on canvas MEET THE ARTIST: Cindy Mawle Cindy Mawle has spent half her lifetime self directing her art education and has created a prolific portfolio of subjects in that time. Cindy is best known for her Vancouver Island paintings, a direct expression of her deep connection to the west coast. Cindy was born and raised on Vancouver Island. She moved to Alberta for 14 years which magnified her love and appreciation for the coast. In 2004 Cindy set her roots on the central Island in Bowser where she paints within her studio set in the forest. “Painting is the touchstone that connects me to the uncomplicated reality of nature.
