The Packard Plant is the world’s largest abandoned industrial complex. Packard Automotive shut down in 1956
and the plant gradually crumbled. The 3.5 million sq ft plant has been in ruins since the 1990’s
This was my second attempt at shooting the plant at night. My first try was aborted because of the danger. I came back with a fireman friend who knew how to look like a cop.
My images are long exposures at night while lighting the scene with battery powered colored lights. Through my lighting I try to create theatrical and whimsical versions of the world around me.
The artwork for sale is a museum quality, ready-to-hang metal print. My Metal prints are of the highest quality and have a magical luminescence. Their vibrant, saturated colors jump off the wall, and will last for generations. They are created by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets making them incredibly durable and scratch resistant. The finished piece is float mounted, so they float one inch off the wall.
