A food service or salad bowl hand sculpted of silver maple, a hard dense durable wood. The maple appears to have wrinkles, called fiddleback, which reflect light in bands. THIS IS A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT GRADE OF MAPLE. Finished in natural walnut oil which can be renewed with similar oil. Usable for any type of food service.
Maple is extremely durable and with normal care this is a multi generational bowl.

Finishes are chosen appropriate to their use as either an art piece or utility vessel.
