Description
Escape artist perfectly represents the direction I want continue with my art in the future. The conceptualizing and engineering the art is my favorite part of the process and this one was no different. I wanted him to look weightless as if he was somehow suspended with nothing holding him back.
The sculpture consists of over a thousand hand painted, cut and sculpted butterflies over a natural moss background, in a 30"by 42" frame.

Thanks for checking out my page. I'm Chase Parker a Tampa native and beyond grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Emerging Artist program. I've been displaying my art for about a year now and I feel like I've found my passion. I can remember my first "real" drawing in 4th grade art class and how the praises made me feel accomplished. Somewhere along the way life came before passion and I forgot what that feeling was like until a little over a year ago. I made a picture for a friend and was reluctant to put it on social media but I'm so glad I did. It immediately brought back that feeling I had lost so long ago. From that post I received my first commission and things have taken off like I never could have imagined. I've found that feeling I missed and I'll never let go of it again.
