These are the ruins of the Taylor Electric Supply Warehouse, built in 1936, in the Portland's Central Eastside Industrial District. After being destroyed by one of the city's largest ever industrial fires, it has become a mecca for the city’s street art. After the 2006 fire, toxic chemicals started to pour out and a thorough clean-up was required, leaving behind huge bare walls that were quickly painted over by graffiti artists.
My images are long exposures at night while lighting the scene with battery powered colored lights. Through my lighting I try to create theatrical and whimsical versions of the world around me.
The artwork for sale is a museum quality, ready-to-hang metal print. My Metal prints are of the highest quality and have a magical luminescence. Their vibrant, saturated colors jump off the wall, and will last for generations. They are created by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets making them incredibly durable and scratch resistant. The finished piece is float mounted, so they float one inch off the wall.
