This mini painting was inspired by a trip I took to the Ovens in Nova Scotia. The rough, rocky cliffs overlooking the magnitude and power of the Atlantic Ocean's waves is a scene to behold. Dancing pine trees add a dream-like quality to that already enchanting and haunting place. And it is these exact trees and their movement that I wanted to depict in my painting. The warm tones of the rocks are complemented by a sun-setting, rich, golden sky. The curves of the brushstrokes in the background embrace those of the dancing trees, sealing the whole ensemble together and marrying each subject harmoniously together.
The brushstrokes mounted with generous amounts of paint gives a beautiful textured effect.
Please note that size in room setting may not be fit to scale and there might be a slight difference in dimensions. Colors and saturation in pictures may also slightly vary from originals, especially since monitor's settings can affect them.
