This piece is named after a street of Kabul. Chicken street is filled with Afghan treasures. It’s enchanted with shops selling jewelry, antiques, knickknacks, artworks and oriental rugs. Everything but chickens.
I was born and raised in France from Afghan parents. The Afghanistan of my parents remain a mystery to me and is expressed in my art. I believe that our roots and origins define us and humanity. This is a tribute to all of our stories.
