I truly love using antique materials; these are ideal for bead embroidery and show up wonderfully against patterned textiles as in my Heart Brooches.Molded glass nailhead beads are flat on the back and were used for embellishing the elaborate garments of the 19th century. I found these and more in France last year. Quantities are very limited!Classic teardrop shapes pair up to make hearts or insect wings. From the top:Two pair. The larger ones have a mirror finish and beveled edge. The tiny ones are more rounded with molded facets. One pair. These are BIG! Hollow underneath to minimize the weight. I think they’d be great wings. 14x26 at least 6mm thick. Two pair of the pointy smooth drops. As you can see they have three holes to hold them straight. 8x25mmFive pair of tiny drops. 4x8mm2 dozen classic round with pressed facets. About 7mm.A full strand one dozen of the XL drops. On the original string!2 dozen tiny drops. Aventurine green color round about 7mm. Slightly translucent; a bit rough quality-wise.Vivid orangey red round about 7mm.
