Handmade soda fired bowl has a beautiful undulating rim. Thrown on the potter's wheel, the rim was hand altered to achieve the continuous curve. A hand painted leaf pattern and an interior deep brown glaze were added before the bowl was soda fired.

I make functional pottery with the aim of bringing beauty and pleasure into a person’s daily life. My pottery usually starts on the wheel and is further embellished by hand. My objective is to have every piece I make reflect my aesthetic and the unpredictable nature of the soda firing process. My goal is to create work that honors and continues the long tradition of handmade pottery.
